Vix and Dans in Firenze

Vicki and Danya stopped by Florence on their travels and we spent a rainy day together. It was so nice to see friends from Boston. We had such a good time, we got drunk at dinner and spent about 3 hours eating, I missed my train and slept on the floor. Our umbrellas looked very nice together. we hugged for a long time when we saw eachother, it had been a while.

Miss Danya spent a semester abroad in Niger. We hadn't seen eachother since December.

It was a bit rainy for part of the day. Danya kept stopping to take pictures. We hid out in the train station when it started pouring, lots of flooded basements that night.

Their hotel boasted a 360 degree view of the city. It was the best part of the place.

My parents came and visited in May when the semester ended. We went to Rome and ate some really good food. We had a group of waiters who were reallt slick, they had this whole shtick where they bring a customer espresso and then pretend to accidentally spill it on them. There is a special way of rigging the sup to accomplish this. It is so fun to watch the people's faces.

Absence makes the heart grow weak

So I've been going through some bouts of home sickness lately. Even though staying here in Tuscany for the summer is amazing, and there is alot of cool stuff going on, I miss everyone from home. I am so bad at keeping in touch with people, so if you give me your address I will most definately send you a postcard, trinket, or some such pleasantry.
